Children who were underweight (BMI < 5th percentile according to the 2000 CDC growth charts [19]) or overweight (BMI 85th to < 95th percentiles) were not shown in the figure, since the present study focused only on obesity (BMI ≥ 95th percentile), compared with normal weight (BMI 5th to < 85th percentiles)
